IBUKA JUSTICE (2024)

Sound Design

Ibuka Justice follows Valentine and Jean-Claude, a new couple, at the very start of the civil war and massacres that swept through Rwanda in 1994. Living in Kigali, the national capital, these young parents make numerous attempts to escape the massacres with their newborn son. Ibuka Justice is a poetic work, full of gentleness and lucidity, about a historical tragedy experienced through the intimacy and formation of a young family forever united.

Inspired by real-life stories, the narrative is told by minor migrants who arrived in Sicily between 2015 and 2020.  A shocking dive into humanity.
