IRIS (2023)

Sound Design

Ever since Iris, a French-Congolese woman, left Montreal, she has nurtured her relationship with Gabriela through voice messages. In this film, her voice gives hints of a return that exists only through the gaze of director Gabriela’s camera. Exploring the boundaries of documentary language the film conveys us to a dreamlike non-place, where the form of a faceless woman intermingles with the fluidity of waterscapes, of clouds and wind.

Directed by Gabriela de Andrade

PRINT TIME (2022)

Sound Design

In the form of a collage of carefully selected archive footage from corporate films of the 50s and 60s, Print Time is a metaphor for the evolution of the human condition.
From the American dream to the failure of modern society, the film puts human beings in perspective, faced with the wall they’ve erected for themselves.

Directed and edited by Annie Deniel
